Kate Duckett

Welcome to Kate’s Garden Kitchen!

My name is Kate Duckett and I trained at Prue Leith’s School of Food & Wine before setting up my own catering business. Based in London, I was catering for corporate and private clients from small dinner parties to events for up to 500 covers.

After a move to Somerset, where my 3 boys have grown up (with a few years abroad in Malaysia and Singapore), I ran a coffee shop in Bath and then opened a cafe in my village pub. With a love of growing my own produce, I decided to set up a catering business again, focussing on homegrown and locally produced ingredients.

Easy going, organised and unflappable, I am a creative, colourful and vibrant chef who loves to cook with home-grown produce and decorate with fresh flowers.

I cook from my registered kitchen at home in Combe Down, Bath and am happy to create whatever suits your needs or you can select something delicious from my extensive menus.

Kate set up our dining table as a beautiful grazing table for a family gathering. Decorated with flowers and herbs it was all so pretty and we really enjoyed our evening which was so social and fun. I’d recommend this for anyone as an original way to entertain.

We employed Kate for a big birthday family getaway in a holiday house near Bath. Kate couldn’t have been more helpful especially as we had various dietary requirements (vegan, nut allergies etc). She delivered curries for us to heat up on our first evening and they were delicious. Our second night was a three course sit down dinner with Kate as our chef, and Jack as our waiter. They made the evening so special and we’d recommend Kate to anyone!
